During my recent visit to Castello, I found it to be an exquisite blend of luxury and value nestled in a serene location, surrounded by lush hills. The property is well-maintained, showcasing a charming mix of traditional castle vibes and modern amenities. Our turret room offered ample space and stunning views, although a few decorative touches like candles could enhance comfort during the chilly October evenings. The cleanliness throughout the hotel was commendable, reflecting a high standard in housekeeping. Breakfast was a highlight, featuring delicious regional options along with some satisfying sweet treats. The dinner, too, surpassed expectations with a delightful menu at reasonable prices, proving that luxury doesn't always equate to exorbitant costs. The staff were efficient and friendly, ensuring a pleasant dining experience despite being the only guests that night. If you're planning to explore the area, which I would strongly recommend-there's a lovely 2 km walk to a nearby lake-Castello offers various tours and ticket assistance. Although the property may lean toward the higher price bracket, the combination of affordable dining, exceptional service, and gorgeous settings makes it a worthwhile choice for those seeking both luxury and value in Umbria.
